Ajo

Shadow Ridge RV Resort

This is a typical RV campground but they let guests use their showers for a nominal $5 fee. Plenty of hot water and nice pressure. Stop by the campground office to pay and get the key to your private room.


Alamo Lake

Restrooms and Showers – Alamo Lake State Park

Excellent spot to snag a free shower, located next to a campground. Very hot water and good pressure. Can be a little dirty so bring your shower sandals.


Apache Junction

Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center (MGC)

Hot showers and large facility with all of the common extras you’d find at a community center. Pool, gym, etc. is all included in the price. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, and a newer facility that seems to be cleaned often.

Lost Dutchman State Park

Inside of the campground you can use the showers with your $10 daily entry fee. You don’t have to be staying at the campground to use this facility. Somewhat clean, very private, and plentiful hot water. No timer.


Benson

Love’s Travel Stop

Typical truck stop with many private shower rooms available. Although the price is a bit steep, these are cleaned after each use and they provide plenty of towels. Spacious rooms. You’re allowed to share with your partner.


Bullhead City

Katherine Landing Campground

Nice free shower, but you’ll need a National Park’s pass to get in here. Great water pressure and hot water, although it might take a few minutes for it to warm up. Not the cleanest, so bring your sandals. 1 stall in the women’s restroom and 1 in the men’s restroom.


Camp Verde

Camp Verde Parks & Recreation

Talk to the people at the desk in the Parks and Recreation office. Just give them your name and phone number in exchange for a key to one of four private shower rooms. These are a bit old, well used, and sometimes a little dirty but the water is hot and plentiful. Just be sure to bring your shower shoes so you don’t have to walk barefoot on the floors.


Cottonwood

Cottonwood Recreation Center

For the price of a daypass, you can shower at the Cottonwood Rec Center. Although the water is known to be a little fluctuating in temperature, the stalls are secure, private, and relatively clean. You can use the pool and hot tub, too!


Douglas

City of Douglas Aquatic Center

Excellent place to stop by for a shower. As of early 2025, the pool is under construction, but they still allow you to use the showers. Plenty of hot water and space.


Flagstaff

Flagstaff Athletic Club

For the price of a day pass, you can shower at the Flagstaff Athletic club. You can use the sauna and steam rooms and shower afterwards. The shower stalls are clea and provide very hot water.

Flagstaff Aquaplex

The Flagstaff Aquaplex is a great place to use a shower. Cabana rooms available with their own toilet, sink, and shower. Very clean and nicely updated facility.

Little America Travel Center

Very nice place with many private rooms with a large tub and shower combo. 90 minute time limit and towels are provided at no additional charge. Seems to be maintained well and relatively clean. There’s shampoo and soap provided in each room. Perfect for 2 people.

Navajo Blue Travel Plaza

The showers at this truck stop are spacious and clean, but they charge by person, not by shower stall. The shower has a single push-button that sprays (with good pressure) for about 3 minutes before you’ll need to push it again. Temperature is set; you cannot change it. Water is hot but not that hot.


Fountain Hills

McDowell Competitive Track

Located at the bike area is a small facility with two shower stalls available. You will need to pay for a day pass at the McDowell Regional Park to access these. Relatively clean considering this is a public shower.


Fredonia

Kaibab Camper Village

Located at the Kaibab campground area, you’ll find a small brown building (green trim) with two doors on it. These are private showers that provide nice hot water and a clean environment. Regularly maintenanced and surprisingly spacious, considering this is a campground in the middle of the woods. May not be open during the winter months.


Gilbert

Freestone Recreation Center

Excellent rec center with plentiful amenities including a pool, steam room, climbing wall, weight room, etc. Showers are private and clean. Friendly, chill staff.


Grand Canyon Village

Mather Campground Showers and Laundry

Many showers available but you will need a National Parks Pass to get here. Sometimes there are water restrictions that close the shower facilities, but they are typically only open from 7AM to 4PM with the last shower available at 3:45PM. Quarters only, so have your change ready!

North Rim Campground Laundromat and Showers

Although these are not typically very clean, these showers are great to use, if they’re open. Sometimes there is a water shortage and the NPS will close the facility. Other times you might find that the water temperature is very inconsistent. Be aware that you need your National Parks pass to get here.


Holbrook

TA Travel Center

Truck stop with many private shower rooms availabe. Price is a bit steep, but there is no time limit and the showers are updated, very clean, and provide endless piping hot water. Towels are included at no additional charge.


Kingman

Flying J Travel Center

This place has many private shower rooms available at $18 per stall. Each has their own sink, toilet, bench, mirror, etc. Like most truck stops, there is no time limit and they are very accommodating. They provide towels and there’s complimentary body wash and shampoo in each shower.

Petro Travel Center

Another truck stop that has several private shower rooms available. Although a bit pricey at $18 per stall, they allow you to share with your partner. Very large rooms, each with their own toilet, sink, mirror, fan, etc. They provide towels and free shampoo/body wash.


Lake Havasu City

Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center

Very clean showers available here, with an inexpensive day pass purchase. You can also use the pool and other facilities. Clean place with friendly staff. Only open for select hours each day. Visit their website for an updated schedule.


Littlefield

Eagles Landing Travel Plaza (Pilot)

Located inside of the Pilot gas station are several private-room shower facilities. The cost per room is $12 and they provide you with towels to use. They are cleaned after each use and the fixtures are nice, providing endless hot water and plenty of pressure. Definitely a great spot to stop that’s open 24 hours a day.


Maricopa

Copper Sky

Large community center with a huge pool and several clean showers available for public use. Newer facility with high-end amenities and friendly staff. Excellent spot!


Mayer

Love’s Travel Stop

While the price is a bit steep, you can shower at the Love’s truck stop. You get your own private room and it’s very clean and spacious. Each stall has its own toilet, sink, and changing area. Very nice.


Mormon Lake

Mormon Lake Campgrounds

Located near the entrance to the campground, you’ll find a small building with several showers to use. Each one is coin-operated and has hot water. Pretty clean!


Oro Valley

Oro Valley Community Center

Two shower heads in an open stall in both the men’s and women’s changing rooms. Exellent water temperature and relatively spacious, but don’t expect total privacy.


Page

Page Lake Powell Campground

Hot showers with no time limit. Spacious stalls that are cleaned often. Each one has their own privacy curtain for changing, a bench, and a shower with its own curtain. If you’re lucky, they’ll let you use the pool and hot tub area as well!

Wahweap RV & Campground

Although you will need a National Parks Pass to enter this area, you can find several token-operated showers that are often used. Token machine is located right outside and is easy to use. However, the shower timer machine seems to stop early, so it’s best to have extra tokens handy. Each shower is located in its own private room with a shower, toilet, sink, and bench.


Payson

Tonto Apache Gym

This is a very nice gym that has great showers. The stalls are all private and newly renovated so they are nice! You can also use the gym, sauna, pool, etc. Great deal and very clean!


Phoenix

Flying J Travel Center

Typical truck stop with clean showers for rent. No time limit, within reason. They don’t charge per person, rather, per stall. That said, you can share with a guest without any issues. They provide towels and there’s complimentary soap available. Spacious and private with nice pressure and endless hot water.

Lylo Swim Club

Amazing pool facility with several hot showers available. Both indoor and outdoor stalls available. Each seems clean and private. Very friendly employees who are willing to accommodate. Great drinks, too!


Picacho

Picacho Peak State Park Restroom and Showers

Located inside the campground loop, there are two buildings with restrooms and showers. This is the first one, but you’ll drive by another one if you keep going down the road for another 300 feet. Plentiful hot water, clean, and spacious.


Prescott

Prescott YMCA of Yavapai County

Excellent place to stop for a shower. The YMCA in Prescott lets you shower for the price of a day pass. You can also use the pool, gym, and other amenities, which are all very nice. Friendly staff and convenient parking, too.


Quartzite

Main Street Laundromat & Showers

An excellent place that is very spacious and clean. Lots of pressure and a showerhead that actually detaches and can be used as a wand. Endless hot water and very friendly staff. Each shower stall has a mirror and bench.


Safford

Safford Swimming Pool

Thyis is a nice pool facility with several nice showers for public use. They are small and not always the cleanest, but it’s a nice spot, overall. Friendly staff and the pool is wonderful!


Salome

Pilot

Inside of the Pilot Flying J, you’ll find several spacious shower rooms available. Priced per room, you can have a shower with your partner or share with a family member(s). Cleaned after each use and plentiful hot water with amazing pressure. Each room has their own toilet and sink.


Scottsdale

Cactus Aquatic & Fitness Center

Outdoor swimming pool with many private showers available. Well kept and updated with clean stalls and nice hot water temperature. Pool and gym is very spacious and wonderful to use.

Chaparral Park Aquatic Center

Nice facility with no time limit on any of the showers. Private stalls with a shower curtain. Relatively clean and very friendly staff.

McDowell Mountain Ranch Park & Aquatic Center

Nice public pool with several showers available. Great hot water temperature and ample pressure. Pretty clean for a public place.


Sedona

Snap Fitness

This is a very nice gym with great equipment that allows you to use the facility. They offer a 24 hour “membership” so you can use the showers in addition to working out. Private shower stalls with excellent hot water. Clean.


Show Low

Show Low Aquatic Center 

This local pool has nice public showers available. Relatively clean, hot water, and decent pressure. Friendly staff.


St. Johns

Seventh Street Laundrymat

Very nice hot showers at this laundromat. Relatively clean with good pressure. They even provide shampoo or soap if you need it. Super friendly staff!


Tempe

Kiwanis Recreation Center

Several cold water showers available. There is no hot water and they are mainly used for rinsing off before/after you enter the pool, but they work for a quick wash up if that’s what you’re looking for.


Thatcher

Eighth Street Fitness Club and Apartments

Conveniently located with a small swimming pool, hot tub, gym, sauna, and other amenities that are available for use with your day pass. The showers are clean and have endless hot water available with nice shower heads.


Tucson

Clements Splash Pad

There’s a communal shower inside the women’s and men’s locker rooms. Open stalls so don’t expect much privacy. Totally free, nice place with plentiful hot water and high pressure water.

Donna R. Liggins Recreation Center

Three shower stalls in each the men’s and women’s changing rooms. Excellent hot water and cheap price. Relatively clean and updated. You can also use the pool and gym as well.

El Pueblo Activity Center

This is a nice place to stop by for a shower. The stalls are private and very clean. Only open Monday through Friday from 7AM to 12PM (noon).

Morris K Udall Park and Recreation Center

2 private shower stalls and 3 open stalls with somewhat hot water and ample pressure. Clean and nice and not many people. Feel free to use the pool and other luxuries that are all included in the inexpensive day pass.

Sunnyside Pool

The Sunnyside Pool located in Tucson is one of the best places to snag a free hot shower. You can also use the pool; free of charge. Surprisingly not many people here. Clean, newly updated facility with friendly employees.


Wickenburg

Aztec Village RV Park

The Aztec Village RV Park allows the public to use their shower facilities at a reasonable price. Each shower is spacious, clean, and very private. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Friendly staff and definitely a great place!


Winslow

Winslow City Parks-Recreation

Very friendly employees and a clean place to shower for a very inexpensive price. Although the water pressure can be quite intense, the water gets very hot, which is great. Just be aware that these are open-stall showers and not in private rooms.
