Jack’s Truck Stop

Small but decent hot showers at this independent truck stop located along Interstate 5. Price is per person, not per shower, so sharing will cost you double. Discounts available for CDL holders. Relatively clean but outdated.

Astoria

Astoria Aquatic Center

Nice indoor swimming pool with several private shower stalls open to the general public. There’s even a few family rooms that have their own private showers with a toilet, chair, sink, mirror, etc. Very hot water and super clean.

Beaverton

Harman Swim Center

Communal showers and two private stalls in each of the changing rooms. Relatively clean with hot water that is unlimited. Staff is friendly; just be sure to check their website or call ahead to check hours as they are quite random.

Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center

Nice indoor swimming facility with hot showers that are open to the public. There is a 15 minute time limit, so be mindful. Call ahead to check availability; it’s best to arrive between 8 and 10AM if you would like to improve your odds of being able to shower. Mostly clean with friendly front desk employees.

Bend

Bend Rock Gym

Each restroom at the climbing gym in Bend has a private shower stall. While they don’t offer a shower-only pass, you can get a workout in and wash up afterwards. Water is very hot, facility is nice and clean.

Juniper Swim & Fitness Center

One of a couple well-equipped rec centers that grants you access to all of their amenities for a day pass. Steam room, pool, gym, etc, with spacious shower stalls that are cleaned often. Good hot water with fantastic pressure.

Larkspur Community Center

Many private showers are here in the locker rooms. They’re nicely tiled, modern, and super nice. Water starts off hot and gets colder after about 5 minutes, but the pressure is great. Very clean facility with friendly staff.

Lava Lake Resort

Token operated showers at this small campground on Lava Lake. Open to the public, but if you’re not staying at the campground, you need to leave your IF in the store in exchange for the door key. Not always super clean but the water is hot and the pressure is superb.

West Village Lodge

Located at Mt. Bachelor’s West Lodge, there are token operated showers open to the public. Tokens can be acquired at the lift ticket counter. Stalls are private, clean, and the water is hot.

Cannon Beach

Sea Ranch RV Park

Nice private showers located within this beautiful RV park. Friendly staff lets anyone use them; no need to be a campground guest. Ample hot water with good pressure in a clean facility.

Canyonville

Seven Feathers Truck & Travel Center

Clean and roomy shower stalls with privacy for each one. Amazing hot water in an upscale truck stop that’s definitely better than any Love’s or Pilot location. Towels can be borrowed without an additional charge. Friendly employees!

Cascade Locks

Overlook Park

Located at the parking lot is a small two-door building with cedar siding and a green roof. Inside there are two coin operated showers that are open to the public. Cheap price and clean stalls with privacy and unlimited hot water. There’s a change machine on site but it’s often broken, so plan ahead and bring your quarters!

Central Point

Pilot Travel Center

Standard Pilot truck stop showers open to all. Hot water, great pressure. There are 7 private rooms, each with their own toilet, sink, bench, and shower. Spacious interior that seems to be cleaned after each use. Towels are provided at no extra cost.

Chemult

Chemult Laundromat

Located around the back of the building are a couple of coin operated showers that are open for public use. Not the cleanest, but it’s cheap and the water is very hot with good pressure.

Pilot Travel Center

Nice and spacious clean showers that are located within their own private rooms. You’re allowed to shower with a guest and share the room. Toilet, sink, mirror within. Towels are complimentary. Water temperature gets colder after 10 minutes, but the pressure is great.

Corvallis

Osborn Aquatic Center

Nice swimming facility with private shower stalls that have no time limit and moderately hot water. However, these are push-button style showers so you need to press it every minute or so. The place is clean and well kept and the staff is super friendly. Be aware that the facility is closed during the colder months. Call ahead or check the website for precise dates.

Crater Lake

Mazama Village Campground & Cabins

Located towards the end of Loop F, there is a small building with hot showers that are free to use. There are also a few located in the restrooms inside of the store. There is signage asking that you keep it under 5 minutes, so please be mindful. All stalls seem to be cleaned somewhat often.

Crescent

Diamond Lake Campground

This is a really nice campground that has public showers that operate on a donation basis. Suggested $1 for every 5 minutes you use it, on an honors system with a donation box outside. The stalls are private and the water is hot with incredible pressure. Some of the nicest campground showers you’ll find around here.

Eugene

Amazon Pool

Although not open during the winter and colder months, this is a really nice outdoor public pool that has many open stall showers to use. Some of them have a dividing wall between the stalls, but not truly private. Water is hot but does not seem to last very long; gets warm/cold the longer you’re in them. Clean facility with friendly staff!

Eugene Family YMCA

Recently built, very nice YMCA with many amenities including several private stall, hot-water showers. There’s also a pool, hot tub, sauna, pickleball, track, etc. Worth checking out since everything inside is brand new and modern.

Florence

37th Street Coin Laundry

Coin operated showers located towards the back of this small laundromat. Relatively clean with privacy for each and very hot water with good pressure. Change machines on site.

Gresham

Mt. Hood Community College Pool

This is a nice aquatics center with public showers for anyone who stops by. There are communal, open-stall showers in both the men’s and women’s locker rooms, but also 1 private handicap shower in each. Ample hot water and good pressure. Super clean place!

Halfway

Halfway Motel & RV Park

Nice little RV park with cheap showers for the public. You do not need to be staying here to stop by and use them. Staff (the owners) are super friendly and welcoming. Ample hot water with good pressure. Stalls are quite clean and simple!

Hines

Fastbreak Convenience Store

There’s a few truck stop style showers here at this convenience store in Hines. A little dirty but cheaper than your average Pilot, Love’s, or Flying J. Showers are private with a locking door, no time limit, and nice hot water.

Hood River

Hood River Aquatic Center

Very nice public pool that allows the general public to walk-in and shower without any fee. No time limit, very hot water, super clean. Before you arrive, check their website or give them a call to make sure they’re open. They often close for inclement weather or other random reasons.

Huntington

TA Travel Center

Conveniently located off of I-84 is this huge truck stop with many private shower rooms open to the general public. Clean and tidy with updated interior. No time limit, very hot water, and nice employees. Towels are free to use.

Klamath Falls

Ella Redkey Municipal Pool

This is a really nice indoor pool with several private hot showers available. Clean facility with good water pressure and friendly staff. You get access to the whole place for the price of admission, so take advantage of any of their amenities.

The YMCA of Klamath Falls

Several hot showers located at the YMCA in Klamath Falls. Private stalls with good pressure and unlimited hot water; no time limits. Cleaned often and feels safe and secure.

La Grande

The Lodge at Hot Lake Springs

Clean hot showers located at this really special hot springs resort. There are 5 geothermal pools that provide temperatures between 100 and 108 degrees Fahrenheit. The shower stalls are private, clean, and have nice hot water. Staff is super friendly, too!

La Pine

Gordy’s Truck Stop

Large private showers with endless hot water (no time limits.) They are fairly clean although a bit outdated. Note that the price is per person, not per shower unlike chain truck stops like Pilot, Love’s, etc, so if you want to share the stall, you must pay double the price.

Lincoln City

Lincoln City Parks & Recreation

Nice rec center with a pool, hot tub, and hot showers. Many of the stalls do not have curtains, so don’t expect much privacy. However, there is a family room with a locking door located near the pool area that you could use if you want full privacy. Relatively clean.

Madras

Love’s Travel Stop

Standard Love’s truck stop with several private shower rooms that are open to anyone who stops by. Spacious stalls with very hot water that seemingly lasts forever. Towels are complimentary.

Plateau Travel Plaza

This is another truck stop in Madras that is better than Love’s. Price is much cheaper and the stalls are very well kept; super clean. Water is extremely hot and towels, shampoo, and soap are all provided.

Mt. Vernon

Clyde Holiday State Park

Small campground with clean and private showers for only two bucks. A definite good deal with warm water (not super hot,) but with good pressure. Pay at the kiosk when you drive-in and the building will be ahead to your right.

Myrtle Creek

Millsite RV Park

Coin operated showers located inside this small RV park that’s open for public use; you do not need to be staying at the RV park to use them. Stalls are clean, albeit small, and provide ample hot water with decent pressure.

Newberg

Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center

Private shower stalls open to the public that is very clean and updated. They are located in the weight room; ask the front desk for directions. Water takes a while to get hot (about 5 minutes) but once hot, it seems to stay hot.

New Pine Creek

Goose Lake State Recreation Area

Cheap two dollar showers for the public to use; you do not need to be staying at the campground to use them. Ample hot water but stalls are a bit dirty. Does not seem to be visited all that often, but it works for a quick and inexpensive wash up.

Newport

Beverly Beach State Park Campground

Located within this small campground are 8 locking room shower stalls. While you technically are supposed to be a camper to use them, nobody is asking or checking; just be discreet. Very hot water and fairly clean. No time limits.

Ernest Bloch Memorial Wayside Public Bathrooms

Located behind the restroom building are a couple of warm water showers that are available to the public. Not a lot of privacy since they’re not actually inside the building but rather around the backside. Clean and semi-private if you go when there’s not many people around.

Newport Recreation Center

Many private shower stalls located inside the pool locker room at the Newport rec center. Very nice facility with friendly staff. Check-in with the front desk (you need to register) and they’ll show you where to go. Showers are very clean and provide super hot water without any sort of time limits.

Otter Rock

Devil’s Punchbowl Outdoor Shower

Free cold water shower pole in the open right outside of the restroom building. No privacy but it’s totally free and in a really scenic area that’s worth checking out.

Pacific City

Pelican Brewing

On the exterior side of the building there are four showerheads on the wall. They provide hot water and are totally free to use. There’s absolutely no privacy as these are typically meant for surfers to rinse off, but you can easily use them to fully wash up. A really unique spot!

Pendleton

Pendleton Family Aquatic Center

While it’s only open during the summer months, this is a massive outdoor pool that has a waterpark for the kids. The showers are in private stalls and provide ample hot water to get washed up. No time limits, friendly staff, clean facility in and out.

Portland

East Portland Community Center

Several private shower stalls located within the locker rooms at this local rec center. Very inexpensive considering that you get unlimited hot water with no time limit. Relatively clean considering that this place sees a lot of visitors. Friendly staff with discounted rates for Portland residents.

Garden Home Community Library

Directly past the library and down the hallway there are private showers within the men’s and women’s restrooms. Water is warm (not hot) but provides good pressure. Clean and tidy and open to the general public.

Grant Outdoor Pool

Local pool that’s only open during the summer, but has nice hot showers for the general public. Somewhat clean and tidy but the stalls are a bit cramped, albeit private. Staff is friendly, but definitely check their website or call ahead to confirm which times they are open for “open swim.”

Matt Dishman Community Center

Nice rec center with indoor pool and accessible year-round. Showers don’t have a door on them so they’re not fully private. However, if you ask for a family room, you get a locking door with privacy. Ample hot water with great pressure in a clean and friendly facility. Many amenities that are worth checking out if you have time.

McMenamins Kennedy School Soaking Pool

Unique communal soaking pools with two showers in each of the men’s and women’s restrooms. Private stalls with cleanliness throughout in a family friendly environment. Staff is friendly and super welcoming.

Southwest Community Center

Probably one of the best places in Portland for a shower. There are several private shower-rooms with your own sink, toilet, hooks, and soap that you can use for 30 minutes. If you’re local to PDX, you can opt to signup for a shower access pass that lets you access them for around $0.50 per shower. Super hot water, very clean, and welcoming employees.

Port Orford

Port of Port Orford

Coin operated showers located in a small building with two restrooms. While the building itself is not heated, the water is. Good pressure but not always cleaned often, so bring your shower shoes. Typically locked after 4PM.

Prospect

Lost Creek Marina (Parking Lot A)

Located near parking lot A are cold showers that are free to use to anyone who enters the Joseph Stewart County Park. Simple and clean with good pressure. Inside the restrooms (where the showers are,) the building is heated, so the cold water really isn’t all that bad.

Redmond

Cascade Swim Center

Private showers located at this indoor swimming pool that’s fairly clean. The water isn’t truly “hot,” but it’s good enough. The pressure is a bit on the weak side as well.

The Jug Rock Gym

A single private shower that’s very spacious and kept clean. Amazingly hot water with good pressure. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Rockaway Beach

Kelly’s Brighton Marina & Campground

Small marina that has public showers for anyone to use; you do not have to be staying at the campground to use them. Nice and clean with very hot water. Relatively clean with spacious stalls.

Roseburg

Love’s Travel Stop

Typical Love’s truck stop conveniently located off of Interstate 5. Private shower rooms with locking doors, spacious stalls, and amazing hot water/pressure. Entire facility is kept very clean and towels are provided at no extra charge.

Salem

The Kroc Center

Super nice facility that has a giant pool and waterslide within. There is also a massive hot tub that is worth checking out. The shower stalls are private and provide amazing hot water with excellent pressure. Showerhead is removable/handheld, so that’s definitely a bonus!

Seaside

Seltzer Park

Located across from the beach is a push-button shower that provides decently warm water. Near the parking area and easy to locate near the men’s room side under the memorial benches. Not much privacy and typically used by surfers, but anyone can use them to wash up.

Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District

Nice rec center that has cheap showers in the early morning hours before 9AM. If you want to use them any other time you will need to purchase a full access day pass. Clean and roomy stalls with privacy for each. Plentiful hot water.

Sisters

Public Restrooms and Showers

Small red and brown building that has two private showers with amazing hot water and great pressure. No change machine on site so bring your own quarters. The floor is typically a bit dirty so be sure to bring your sandals. Open year ’round from 6AM to 9PM (10PM in winters.)

St. Helens

Columbia View Park

Inside of the restroom building at this small park is a shower in each of the men’s and women’s rooms. Not the cleanest place but the water is definitely hot and has good pressure. No change machine on site so plan ahead and bring your quarters.

Tillamook

Tillamook County Family YMCA

Nicely appointed YMCA with cheap showers for only a buck between 11AM and 1PM daily. If you’d like to use the showers outside of these times, you’ll have to purchase a day pass. Discounted rate ($10) for residents. Nice hot water with good pressure in a clean facility.

Troutdale

Love’s Travel Stop

Typical Love’s truck stop shower rooms available to anyone – not just truck drivers. Each room is very private and has its own toilet, sink, bench, and hooks. Unlimited hot water, spacious stalls, and very good pressure. Towels and soap dispensers are provided complimentary.

Waldport

Core394 Fitness

Small local gym with a single private shower that’s open for the public. Very spacious all-tile stall in a room with a locking door. Ther’es a bench, toilet, sink, and hooks for your towel and stuff. Inexpensive weekly passes and punch cards available if you plan on washing up here more than once.

Warrenton

Kampers West Kampground

A few private showers that are accessible to anyone who stops by. The water isn’t entirely hot; mostly warm, but the pressure is great. Clean place with friendly staff who seem to be very welcoming.

Winchester Bay

Salmon Harbor Marina

Cheap coin operated showers located near the crab dock and in the middle of the parking area. Relatively clean with very high pressure and super hot water. Open daily between 8:15AM and 3:30PM for anyone to use; you do not have to be staying at the marina to use this facility.

Woodburn

Portland-Woodburn RV Park

This is a smallish RV park with a few showers that are open to the general public, even if you’re not staying there in your RV. Very clean and private facility with no time limit and very hot water.
