Beaver Bay

Split Rock Cart-in Campground Restrooms

Near the tent camping area you will find a building that has many private shower stalls available for public use. While they are closed on a daily basis from noon to 2PM, they are cleaned often and well kept. There is a specific parking area for those using the showers, so do take note. The showerheads provide ample pressure and lots of very hot water.

Big Falls

Big Falls Campground & Horse Camp

Located on the side of the restroom building, you’ll find access to a few showers. They are cleaned often and quite spacious, offering plentiful hot water and decent pressure. Privacy abundant. Check with the campground host when you get there and they’ll show you exactly where to go.

Birch Beach

Zippel Bay Swim Beach Picnic Area

For the price of a day pass, the general public is allowed to use these small but nice shower stalls located near the beach on Lake of the Woods. Lots of hot water and no time limit. Each shower is behind a locked door so you have plenty of privacy. You can register online (for the day pass) if you’d like to plan ahead.

Crosby

Hallett Community Center

This community center offers guests to use their showers for a small price of just $3. While you do need to sign a waiver and provide them with an ID, the water is very hot and there’s no time limit. Hairdryer and lockers available. Bring your own towel.

Detroit Lakes

Detroit Lakes City Park

Located at the back side of the public restroom you’ll find a single showerhead that provides decently warm water. Ample pressure but no privacy.

Duluth

Duluth Area Family YMCA

While you do need to register at the front desk and show your ID, this YMCA in the downtown area of Duluth offers excellent showers. Seemingly endless hot water with great pressure. This place was recently remodeled and it is up to date in terms of cleanliness and amenities.

Goodview

Michael LaCanne Memorial Park

Although these are cold water showers, they are excellent to use on a hot day. Relatively clean. Changing rooms are also available.

Grand Rapids

Itasca County Family YMCA

Several individual shower stalls available to the open public for a nominal $4 per person shower pass. The women’s restroom has showers that have a curtain, but then men’s do not. The showers are very spacious, each with their own folding bench. They are also very well kept; cleaned often. Water is extremely hot and there’s no time limit. If you need a towel, there is an extra fee of $1. Friendly employees

Hastings

Point Douglas Park

Located near the swimming beach you’ll find a couple of cold water showers available for public use. Expect no privacy as these are outside and not inside any building.

Madelia

Watona Park

Two showers in each of the men’s and women’s restrooms available for public use. Hot water and privacy in each stall. Somewhat clean, but bring your shower shoes just in case. Great pressure!

Minneapolis

Lake Nokomis Beach

Inside of each public restroom is a shower with cold water only. Not very clean but it works in a pinch.

Red Wing

Hay Creek Valley Campground

If you check-in with the front office or give them a quick phone call, you can shower in their campground for a nominal fee per person. Showers provide ample hot water and good pressure with plenty of privacy available. Friendly staff.

St. Cloud

St. Cloud Area Family YMCA

For the price of a day pass you can use the entire facility which includes several private shower stalls. Plentiful hot water with great pressure. Clean with friendly staff.

St. Peter

Mill Pond Park Showers

Free shower located inside the men’s and women’s restrooms that provides hot water. Each stall has its own door for privacy. Not the cleanest but it’s completely free of charge and wide open for public use.

Two Harbors

Gooseberry Falls State Park Campground Restroom and Showers

Located in the middle of the campground is a small building with a few private showers available. While these are meant for campground campers, the general public can access these if you simply walk-up and use them. Park at the visitors center and walk about a mile to them (if you want to be discreet.) Clean facility with ample hot water and great pressure.

Virginia

Mesabi Fit

Located right next to Hwy 169 is Mesabi Fit, a nice little gym that allows the general public to purchase a day pass. With that, you can use the showers along with any of the workout equipment. There’s even a four lane pool . The stalls are private and very clean. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Winona

Prairie Island Campground

This is a really chill campground that often lets non-campers use their shower facility without a charge. They are located right next to the camp store by the road. Need to press the button for each minute you’d like to use the shower. Not the hottest water, but it’s decently warm.
