An excellent free spot to shower if you’re staying in DC. Each stall has its own curtain so you do have privacy. Must show your ID for access. Plenty of hot water, relatively clean and spacious rooms.

Wilson Aquatic Center

Nice place to use the pool and shower facilities for the price of a day pass. If you’re lucky and you show up 30 minutes before they close, you might even get let-in for free. Clean showers with ample pressure and lots of hot water. No time limits.

Grantsville

Pilot Travel Center

This is your standard Pilot truck stop that has 7 private shower rooms available. Each one has their own toilet, sink, mirror, and changing area. Cleaned after each use so they are very nice, although the price is somewhat steep. They do provide towels and complimentary soap if you need it. Open 24 hours.

Hancock

C&O Bicycle

Located outside of the building are two hot water showers for public use. The price is very reasonable and the staff is friendly. They even provide you with soap and a towel if you need it.

IJamsville

YMCA, Natelli Family

Very nice facility that lets you access the showers on the first visit for free. Thereafter, you’ll need to pay for a day pass, though the price is very inexpensive. Friendly staff, large and private facilities. There are showers in both the men’s, women’s and family rooms.

Newark

Assateague Island National Seashore

There are two cold showers near the beach that are open for public use. While you will need to pay to gain access to the National Seashore, you can use these for free. They are located outdoors so don’t expect any privacy.

Riverdale Park

FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

In the men’s and women’s bathroom you’ll find a shower. The room has a locking door and is accessible via the back door of the building. Completely free to use; just be quick and discreet.
