Alpena

Starlite Beach

Located near the beach are a couple of free hot water showers for public use. Don’t expect much privacy but they are relatively clean and provide ample pressure and actual hot water, unlike most cold water showers you’ll find near a beach.

Thunder Bay RV Park & Camp

Several hot showers available at this RV park and campground. Give them a call before you arrive or go to the front desk and ask for Kregg. They will give you instructions on how to shower and show you where they are located. Although the place seems a little outdated, it’s clean.


Amasa

Tall Pines Grocery

This is a hotel and general store with a gas station. They offer public showers for a nominal fee. Clean facility with plentiful hot water. No towel provided so be sure to bring your own.


Battle Creek

Pilot Travel Center

This is your typical Pilot truck stop that lets you use a private shower room. They do not charge by person so you’re welcome to share it with a family member or partner. They provide towels and clean the room after each use.

TA Travel Center

Standard truck stop shower in your own private room. Towels provided and rooms are cleaned after each use. You’re welcome to share the room with a guest.


Bergland

Ontonagon County Park

Two showers in each of the men’s and women’s restrooms. There is plenty of hot water and there’s no time limit on any of the showers. One of the showers seems to be cold and the other is hot, so check the water temperature before getting in.


Bridgman

Weko Beach

Located on the lower level of the beach house, you’ll find a couple of cold water showers that are completely free to use. You may have to pay a nominal fee for parking, but you can freely use the showers once you are there.


Champion

Circle K

This is a gas station that has pay showers available for public use. Ask at the register to rent a shower and they’ll give you a key and a towel. Clean facilities with endless hot water and no time limits.

Van Riper State Park Showers

A couple of hot water showers available for public use, as long as you show your Michigan Passport pass at the entrance. Relatively clean and spacious with ample privacy.


Charlevoix

Charlevoix Area Community Pool

Very nice public pool with plenty of shower stalls available, each with their own privacy curtain. Large changing rooms and clean stalls with endless hot water make this a fantastic spot. Friendly staff, too!


Escanaba

Escanaba Municipal Beach

Super clean public showers with lukewarm water. They are inside the small building near the parking area. The park is open 7 days a week and has easy access.


Farwell

Sunoco Gas Station

This is a great spot that has a couple of public-use showers available. Although not very clean, the water is hot and the pressure is good.


Grand Marias

Woodland Park Campground

This is a campground that allows people who are not staying in the campground to use their showers for an inexpensive fee of $3. Make your payment at the park office or use the drop box (honors system). Although it can be quite busy in the summer, there is very hot water and ample pressure for a good wash up.


Houghton

East Houghton Waterfront Park

Located inside the men’s and women’s restroom is a shower that takes quarters. Surprisingly clean. Only open during Spring and Summer seasons so be aware.

Nara Chalet and Interpretive Center

Very nice facility with a spacious hot shower room available to the public. Cheap price and ample privacy, although there is no lock on the door. Located inside the red building which has a number pad lock (but it seems to always be unlocked.)


Ludington

Mason County Campground

This is an excellent place that offers showers for a very cheap price. Excellent water pressure, very hot water, and clean stalls. Very chill place.


Luna Pier

Luna Pier Showers

Although you do have to pay to park at a rate of $2 per hour, you can use the showers for free. Hot water available with two private stalls for public use.


Manistee

Manistee Health & Fitness

Very nice gym that offers a $10 day pass that gives you access to several showers in the locker rooms. They offer free towels, shampoo, lockers, body wash, and even a hair dryer. Nice place!


Marquette

Clark Lambros Beach Park

Located in the beach parking lot are two cold water showers with good pressure. Typically meant for washing off sand, but you could easily use them for a full shower.

Tourist Park

Very hot showers available for public use inside of Tourist Park. There is a shower in the men’s, women’s and family restrooms that offer good privacy and water pressure. Not the cleanest, but the price is very inexpensive, so it’s hard to complain.


Menominee

John Henes Park

Located near the beach are a couple of cold water showers that are available for public use. They are outdoors in the open so don’t expect any privacy.


Naubinway

Top-of-the-Lake Snowmobile Museum

This is a really cool museum that allows guests to shower if you stop by. The entrance fee is only $5 and you can enjoy the museum, included in the price. Very hot showers with clean stalls and super friendly staff. Bring your own towel!


Newberry

Up North Laundry

This is a small laundromat that has a coin operated (quarters) shower that is open to the public. Nice hot water with good pressure. Somewhat clean. Open from 7AM to 11PM, seven days a week.


Ontonagon

Ontonagon Township Park

This is a campground that usually lets non-campers use the shower facility. Showers take quarters and provide good, consistent hot water with ample pressure. Clean.


Presque Isle

Presque Isle State Harbor

Inside of the men’s and women’s restrooms are two showers. These are surprisingly clean and private with great hot water and ample pressure.


Rapid River

Pantry Restaurant & Truck Stop

This is a very nice truck stop and restaurant that has showers available for the public for a nominal fee. Very clean facility with friendly staff and laundry available as well. Very hot water with excellent pressure.


St. Ignace

St. Ignace Truck Stop

This truck stop has a couple private showers available for public use. The stalls are located in a separate room (with a locking door) besides the men’s and women’s restrooms. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. Friendly staff and economically priced.

Straits State Park Showers

Inside of the campground is a recently built small building that has restrooms and showers available. While you do need a State Park pass, you can use them for free once you’re in the park. Showers are private, cleaned often, and provide consistent hot water with good pressure.


St. Joseph

Tiscornia Park

Two outdoor (cold water) showers available. Although you should not expect privacy, these are free to use. You may have to pay for parking, but this is a great spot to wash up if you’re being discreet.


Wetmore

Munising / Pictured Rocks KOA Journey

Nice clean showers available to the public for a nominal $5 fee. Only open to the public after 2PM each day so do not show up any earlier. Thewre are 3 stalls in the men’s room and 3 in the women’s room. Relatively clean and well kept. Nice hot water with good pressure.
