Alamogordo

Alamogordo Recreation Center

Inside of the family restroom there is a large private shower that provides endless hot water. The others are nice too, but not quite as large. Clean facility with friendly staff.

Texaco Alamogordo

Nice truck stop shower with privacy and unlimited hot water. The price is for a shower, not per person, so you’re allowed to shower with your partner if you’d like. Not the cleanest, but they do provide you with towels if you need them.

Albuquerque

Don Newton – Taylor Ranch Community Center

You can have free access to this rec center if you register at the from desk. Only takes a few minutes. Nice place with hot water and privacy between shower stalls.

Route 66 Travel Center

Nice truck stop with a few private showers available for rent. One hour time limit, but you’re able to share with one other guest. Very hot water and clean facility. Go to the front desk to pay and get a key for access.

West Mesa Aquatic Center

Many showers available in the locker rooms of this public pool. Cheap entry fee, but the showers are open-stall and do not offer much privacy. Good enough hot water, clean place.

Artesia

Artesia Aquatic Center

Communal showers located within each of the restrooms at this indoor pool. Very clean facility with friendly staff and unlimited hot water. No privacy as these are open stall.

Bloomfield

Bloomfield Multicultural Center

Indoor swimming pool with locker rooms that have hot water showers. Individual private stalls with curtains. Pretty clean and nice facility.

Carlsbad

Lake Carlsbad Beach Park

Two metal shower poles in the open near the water. There is also one located near the splash park on the other side of the parking lot. Cold water only. Open from Memorial Day to September on an annual basis. Not much privacy.

Española

Lucero Center

Small community center with a single open stall shower that provides warmish/hot water. Great pressure, relatively clean.

Estancia

Estancia Aquatic Center

Smaller sized pool with showers open to the public. Abundant hot water with good pressure. Clean and private.

Farmington

Farmington Aquatic Center

Nicely updated indoor pool facility that has many showers open to the public. They ask that you keep them under 20 minutes in an effort to save water. Good pressure, plentiful hot water. Clean.

Several hot water showers located within the City of Rocks State Park near the visitors center. There are curtains on each for privacy and ample pressure. Relatively clean considering this is used often.

Gallup Aquatic Center

Nice indoor pool with a few hot showers available. Clean place, friendly staff.

Grants

Lava Flow Hostel

There are a few indoor and outdoor showers here at this nice little hostel. Go to their website to reserve a spot and make your payment. After that, you’ll receive a door code in your email. Private stalls with locking doors, very hot water, and excellent pressure.

Las Cruces

Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center

Some of the cheapest but nicest showers around. Only $1 with a 30 minute time limit. Privacy throughout in a clean facility.

Lemitar

Road Runner Travel Center

Typical truck stop style shower rooms for the public to use. You can freely share the shower with your partner at no additional cost. Kept clean and tidy.

Los Alamos

Los Alamos County Aquatic Center

Nice indoor pool facility with many hot showers available. These are open stall communal shower so don’t expect much privacy.

The Family YMCA

Your first visit at this YMCA is free as long as you register at the front desk and show your ID. After your first visit, it’s only $5. Clean stalls with ample privacy and very hot water. Friendly staff!

Milan

Love’s Travel Stop

Typical Love’s truck stop showers in private rooms. Towels provided, no time limits, excellent hot water temperature. Conveniently located off of Interstate 40.

Moriarty

Pilot Travel Center

Standard Pilot truck stop shower rooms available to all. Spacious stalls with unlimited hot water (no time limits.) Staff is friendly and they provide towels at no extra cost.

Portales

Oasis State Park

Although you do need to pay to enter the State Park, the showers are free to use for anyone, even if you’re not staying in the campground. One private shower stall in each of the men’s and women’s restrooms. Water is somewhat hot, but you are unable to change the temperature.

Raton

Raton Regional Aquatic Center

Very nice indoor pool with private showers in the locker rooms. Water is hot enough and the place is very clean.

Rio Rancho

Rio Rancho Aquatic Center

Nice indoor poll with many hot water showers inside each of the women’s and men’s locker rooms. Very clean with friendly employees that are very accommodating.

Roswell

Roswell Recreation & Aquatic Center

Nice rec center that has a massive pool and a well-rounded gym. Facility is open seasonally (closed during winter.) Lots of hot water, great pressure.

Santa Fe

Fort Marcy Recreation Complex

Open stall communal showers that provide ample hot water and good pressure. Relatively clean.

Genoveva Chavez Community Center

This is a massive rec center with several private stalls open for public showering. Located within each of the locker rooms. Plentiful hot water, push-button valves and good pressure.

Salvador Perez Swimming Pool

Many private individual shower stalls that provide endless hot water. Access to the gym and the rest of the facility is extra. Clean place with nice staff.

Taos

Taos Spa & Tennis Club

For the price of a day pass you can use the showers here. They do not offer a shower-only pass, so you’ll have to pay for full access. Nice water temperature, great pressure. Kind of expensive though.

Taos Youth & Family Center

Several hot water showers located at the youth center in Taos. Cheap entry fee but only open on select dates and times. Check their website or give them a call for more-accurate hours and information.

Truth or Consequences

Charles Motel and Hotsprings

Several private room hot spring fed bath tubs available to the general public. Showers are lukewarm but the hot spring water (that you bathe in) is obviously hot. Pretty clean, nice tiled interiors. Nice place to relax.

Hoosier Hot Springs & Inn

A bit expensive but very nice. Very hot water in both the tub and the shower stall. Ample privacy in a clean and chill environment. Beautiful facility that can get a little busy at times.

Whites City

Whites City RV Park

Cheap shower in a somewhat dirty and damaged facility. Not the cleanest but the water is hot and plentiful. Located near Carlsbad Caverns with easy access. Curtains on each stall with ample privacy.
