Standard truck stop shower with plentiful hot water, good pressure. Stalls are a bit smaller than most Love’s locations, but they’re kept clean. This is a busy spot so you might have to wait your turn, depending on when you arrive.

Burbank

TA Express Vermillion

Another excellent truck stop that offers private shower rooms for their guests. Free towels provided. Super hot water, very clean!

Custer

Custer Branch YMCA

Quaint YMCA in a log cabin style building. Very unique. Their showers are nice and hot and very clean. Friendly staff!

Fort Welikit Family Campground

This is a great place to take a shower at a very inexpensive price. No time limit, clean and private rooms. Each has their own chair, towel hooks, sink, toilet, and table.

Deadwood

Days of ’76 Campground

Three showers in each of the women’s and men’s restrooms. Open for public use, even if you’re not staying at the campground. Check-in with the front office. If it’s closed, you can drop your payment in the slot at the office door. Detachable showerhead with plenty of hot water and pressure. Showers are inside of the building that’s attached to the back side of the museum.

Deadwood Recreation Center

Private shower stalls, each with their own curtain. Pretty clean for a rec center. Very hot water with towel hooks on the walls. Inside a very cool, older building.

Freeman

Freeman City Swimming Pool

Located near the restrooms are two private indoor showers with ample warm water. Typically only open during the summer when the pool is operational.

Hot Springs

TA Express Travel Center

Very nice TA truck stop that has many private shower rooms available. Very hot water with great pressure. Each room has its own sink, toilet, bench, etc. Towels are provided at no extra cost.

Interior

Cedar Pass Campground in Badlands National Park

Excellent hot showers located within Badlands National Park at the Cedar Pass Campground. Relatively clean with ample hot water and pressure. You can use these even if you’re not staying at the campground, but you’ll need your National Park pass to get here.

Nice spot to stop for a shower. Clean facility with friendly staff. Towels are provided at no extra charge. You’re allowed to share the stall with your partner or family.

Kimball

Love’s Travel Stop

Standard Love’s location with private shower rooms for rent. Like always, they are kept very clean after each guest leaves. Nice rooms with a lot of space, privacy, and airflow. Towels are provided at no extra cost.

Mitchell

Lake Mitchell Public Showers

Two showers in each of the women’s and men’s restrooms. The water isn’t very warm, and the pressure isn’t the best, but it does offer a great place to wash up without spending anything.

Sioux Falls

Love’s Travel Stop

Just another Love’s that has nice showers for rent. The rooms are very nice and there’s no time limit on the hot water use. Towels are included and you can share your shower with your partner or family member.

Sioux Falls Family YMCA

This is an older YMCA facility with shower/sauna passes for $4 per person. However, if you’d like to use the gym and other amenities, it’s $9. Spacious shower stalls with excellent hot water pressure.

Spearfish

Anytime Fitness

This is a really nice gym that allows walk-in guests to purchase a day pass for the entire facility, which gives you access to the showers. Hot water, great pressure. The showers are in private stalls.

Spearfish Rec & Aquatics Center

Nice rec center that has a beautiful pool and large gym. Guests are allowed to use the showers after 12pm, unless you are a member. Relatively clean with decently hot water.

Sturgis

Sturgis Community Center

Private showers located at the Sturgis Community Center. Spacious stalls with ample hot water. Pretty clean with friendly staff. The pool, sauna, and hot tub are worth checking out if you’re stopping by for a wash up.

TA Express Travel Center

This TA truck stop is a nice place to reserve a private shower room. Endless hot water, no time limits, free towels to use.

Nice campground that offers clean hot showers in their own private stalls. No time limit, very good pressure. Super friendly staff.
